  • Soil sampling extends wide Endeavour Shear Zone mineralisation
  • Zone grows out to eight km from Endeavour Inlet to Resolution Bay mines
  • Access arrangement application for drilling activities lodged
  • New and previous channel samples returned multiple high-grade assays

Siren Gold (ASX:SNG) has significantly expanded its Queen Charlotte antimony-gold project in New Zealand with positive sampling results. Initial soil sampling has extended the Endeavour Inlet mine area mineralisation a further 2.5 kilometres, and mineralisation remains open north and south.

Siren’s chief, Zane Padman, said exploration has to date focused on the Endeavour Inlet mine area, but the mineralised reefs at Endeavour East and Resolution Bay have now also been mapped and sampled, extending strike by 8km.

Outcrop mapping and sampling and soil geochemistry have defined two main reefs, Skyline and Maria, that are separated by approximately 100 metres and define the hanging wall and footwall of the Endeavour Shear Zone.

“These results continue to build out the mineralisation footprint at Queen Charlotte and reinforce the scale and continuity of the Endeavour Shear Zone across multiple historic workings,” Mr Padman said.

“Systematic surface work is steadily improving our geological understanding and gives us growing confidence in the depth and strike potential of this system.”

Mr Padman continued: “While access approvals progress, we are focused on working constructively with all stakeholders to achieve transparent and positive outcomes. We remain genuinely excited about advancing the project to drilling when the necessary access has been granted by DoC.”

Very little historical exploration has been undertaken, with only limited mapping, stream, soil and rock chip sampling. No drilling has been done, except for three short holes drilled from underground in the 1970’s by Mineral Resources.

Previous mining and exploration at the Queen Charlotte site had mostly focused on the stibnite mineralisation, with gold largely ignored. However, a channel sample across the Maria Reef returned 5.4m at 3.4 grams per tonne (g/t), indicating the significant gold potential of the Endeavour Shear Zone.

SNG is steady at 8.2¢ today. Mkt cap $24.60M.
