Technology company Spacetalk (SPA) has expanded its product range with the launch of the Spacetalk Adventurer smartwatch.

The Spacetalk Adventurer is Spacetalk’s next generation 4G smartphone watch and GPS device aimed at children aged between five and 12.

The merchandise is the newest addition for the company, which already has a Spacetalk Kids and a Spacetalk Life product for senior consumers.

The Spacetalk app has also launched today as a replacement for the existing AllMyTribe app.

The app has increased functionalities such as ‘Family Chat’, a heart rate monitor, GPS and movement sensors.

Spacetalk Adventurer will be retailed online and through JB Hi-Fi Australia in anticipation of Christmas sales.

Spacetalk Chief Executive Mark Fortunatow says the launch is a huge announcement in the kids connected wearables sector.

“It builds on what we have learned from the phenomenal success of the existing Spacetalk Kids device,” he commented.

Spacetalk is formerly known as MGM Wireless, the decision to change then name was made following a vote at the company’s AGM in November this year.

SPA shares are up a strong 27.3 per cent on the back of the product announcement, trading at 14 cents each.
