Stakk Ltd (ASX:SKK) has announced execution of a contract delivering signature verification abilities to the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The deal comes on the back of Stakk’s recent US$63M acquisition of a US company called ParaScript which heavily touts its AI capabilities in fraud detection software. In short, the FBI wants to use Stakk’s ParaScript to scrutinise large volumes of documents it discovers as part of investigations.

Worth noting is that the company has started describing itself as a digital trust infrastructure company immediately after acquiring ParaScript, suggesting that US$63M (A$88M) purchase meant business.

This isn’t the first time Stakk has inked a big-name client. The company shot to prominence among microcap watchers last year when the company inked a deal with US trading app Robinhood; not long after, it saddled up alongside NASDAQ-listed telco T-Mobile.

Where those contracts currently sit and what value they provide compared to the new digital trust angle the company’s adopted remains unclear.

“As fraud grows more sophisticated, we see a substantial opportunity to bring these solutions to agencies in the United States and internationally … a powerful example of why we recently brought the two businesses together,” Stakk Director Arthur Lo said.

“Delivering these capabilities for use by the FBI reinforces our conviction that trusted, accurate decisioning matters across financial services, healthcare, government, law enforcement and other regulated sectors.”

In late June this year, the company cited an FY27 revenue outlook of $21.8M; it technically made a $1M profit in FY26 but still incurred an A$5M statutory loss depending on how you measure it.

Year on year, the company remains down nearly -40% at a price of 2.4cps; the company flirted with 7cps in October of last year. The company’s got 6.4B shares on issue.

While liquidity was subdued on Tuesday morning – perhaps unsurprising given a return to dismal XJO levels and today’s looming RBA call – interest around the company’s deal with the FBI is obvious on the HotCopper boards.

One popular flavour of excitement in the ASX is deals with large US government agencies, something that’s only become more tantalising under the second Trump administration. Still, it isn’t clear what the value of Tuesday’s contract with the FBI might be.
