Talonx Resources samples further high-grade gold at Viking

Talonx Resources (ASX: TXR) has identified high-grade gold in a resample exercise at the Beaker 2 prospect within the Viking gold project southeast of Norseman in Western Australia.

The company has now received results from 1.0m resampling of assays from a10-hole, 867m reverse circulation (RC) drilling program completed in December 2025.

Previous composite samples from drillhole 25VKRC005 recorded 8.0m at 1.93 grams per tonne (g/t) from 68m.

The additional 1.0m sampling carried out on anomalous 4.0m composite RC samples returned a number of high-grade gold assay results.

Resampling was then undertaken of an 8m interval from hole 25VKRC005 and returned 5.0m at 7.4 g/t  from 70m, including 1.0m at 20.6 g/t from 70m.

Executive chairman, Dr Steve Lennon, said the high-grade mineralisation occurs within primary quartz veining beneath the base of oxidation.

“This supports the interpretation of a structurally controlled primary gold zone rather than purely supergene enrichment within the oxide profile,” he said.

The extent of this zone will be tested in an upcoming drilling program.

“These results reinforce the high-grade nature of the primary system at Beaker 2 and validate our targeting approach at Viking. We’ll be recommencing drilling next month and we look forward to a very exciting year ahead for the company.”

Talonx will now add the new assay data into the Viking project database and it will assist in refine targets for the next phase of drilling.

The next RC drilling at Viking will include follow-up holes at Beaker 2, while initial drilling will be undertaken at the Beaker 4 prospect.

TXR is up 7.69% at 1.4¢. Mkt cap $11.22M.
