EV Resources (ASX:EVR) is now confident the Los Lirios project in Brazil hosts an “exceptional, high-grade antimony system” after sampling results from several historical pits came in at up to 30.2% antimony.

The early-year sampling, conducted across several of the site’s historical open pits, saw grades peaking at 30.2% Sb over a half-metre channel at Los Lirios Two East and 22.6% over an eighth-tenth metre channel at Lirios One.

The results verified two styles: Fault/vein-hosted conduits and strata-bound carbonate deposits. These confirm there’s a major hydrothermal system, and now give the company “multiple potential targets for drilling.”

The key sampling areas, Lirious One and Two, lie around 5.5 kilometres apart along the northerly trending Lirios Fault Zone (LFZ). This six-kilometre structure acted as a primary conduit for mineralised fluids and remains largely untested, setting up what EVR described as “significant exploration upside.”

“Such a clean and high-grade mineralisation style could have significant economic advantages,” EVR’s managing director and CEO Mike Brown said, pointing to processing paths and concentrate streams, in particular.

“Importantly,” he added, “we’ve identified a verifiable assaying process that gives us great confidence moving forward in our drilling and any results.”

The company is currently working on maiden diamond drilling at Lirios One to test depth and strike continuity. Assays from that run will come back from that in the next four to eight weeks. Metallurgical results are also on the way; both will be folded into a JORC maiden resource estimate in mid-CY26.

EVR will also continue investigating digestion methods. The first batch that the company used resulted in underreported antimony levels (due to stibnite’s volatile nature), but these second results came in closer to reality.

Through Tuesday morning, EVR has been 0.9cps.
