Better known for being a battery tech player, ASX-listed Anteotech (ASX: ADO) has in the last twelve months taken its capabilities in materials coating and molecular science and pivoted towards the life sciences (“biotech”) industry.

The same research that has made Anteotech a leader in materials coating technology has afforded it benefits above competitors in applying the same knowledge to medical pursuits – allowing Anteotech to disrupt the solid phase immunoassay landscape.

Anteotech’s materials knowledge has allowed it to advance ahead of other players in the sector by being able to handle difficult proteins and other biomolecules ultimately applied in diagnostic tests.

That product – AnteoBind – is only one among many in Anteotech’s IP portfolio.

To discuss further, Anteotech CEO Merril Gray sat down with HotCopper to outline the company’s strategic pivot to the life sciences space across the last twelve months.
