Telco TPG Telecom (ASX:TPG) is Dale Gillham’s Hot Stock pick on this week’s Hot Stock Tips show for The Market Online and HotCopper.
While the telco sector has been quiet for a long time, Wealth Within’s chief analyst Dale Gillham and his co-host Filip Tortevski, said TPG had been aggressive in acquisitions and was one of the biggest companies in the sector which hadn’t ‘yet run’.
“It owns Vodafone, it owns iiNet, it owns some of the others as well,” Mr Gillham said.
“There’s so much it’s doing in terms of its business.
“It’s all got to eventually hit at the bottom line.
“If it takes off, look I think this thing could go a lot further, a hell of a lot further.”
TPG took a hit on market yesterday (Monday) in the wake of its earnings results.
Weebit Nano (ASX:WBT) is Wealth Within’s ‘Proceed with Caution’ pick today.
The ‘Not Hot’ pick for the week is APA Group (ASX:APA) which Mr Gillham and Mr Tortevski tip could still be moving down.
Filip Tortevski said reporting season could be difficult for trading because movements tended to be volatile.
“It’s ok, because when reporting season settles down things will start to get a lot smoother and the opportunities won’t go away,” he said.
“The volatility will definitely calm down from reporting season.”
