Stakk’s (ASX: SKK) wholly-owned subsidiary ParaScript has secured a deployment to support postal vote assessment in the US midterm elections on Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
Now live ahead of the November elections, Stakk’s document review, data extraction and signature verification capabilities form part of a broader solution delivered by its strategic partners to assist multiple US states and counties to analyse and interpret certain postal votes.
These capabilities are designed to add a further layer of authentication to support the scrutiny required to safeguard the integrity of postal votes and help flag potential fraud.
Following Stakk’s recently announced signature verification engagement for use by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), this deployment provides further validation of the group’s capabilities in government applications.
SKK jumped 13.6% to 2.5c.
Terra Metals (ASX: TM1) has reported RC drilling targeting extensions of shallow mineralisation has intersected thick PGM–Cu–Ni mineralisation from surface.
“Southwest continues to grow in scale, and these latest results further demonstrate that the mineralisation extends right to surface,” CEO and MD, Thomas Line, said.
“These characteristics support the potential for low strip, open cut mining, as well as the potential ability to selectively process the high-grade reef material to catalyse project economics during initial mining phases.
“Alongside the thick, higher-grade zones we continue to intersect at depth, we are now confirming the mineralisation continues to surface in the areas we did not previously have access to.
“These results will feed directly into our maiden mineral resource estimate, and with a significant backlog of assays pending and drilling ongoing, we’re excited about what the coming months will deliver at Southwest, and just how big the prize could be.”
TM1 was down 19.2% to 15.8¢.
Power Minerals (ASX: PNN) was closely watched after receiving further high-grade magnet rare earth oxide (MREO) and total rare earth oxide (TREO) results from its ongoing drilling campaign at the Morro do Ferro in Brazil.
The latest results have returned exceptionally high-grade REO mineralisation extending from the surface to a depth of 91m.
The company said this latest result further validates and reinforces the shallow, very high-grade nature of the project – with wide, high-grade intersections from surface returned in all six drillholes reported to date.
“The latest results underscore the continuation of the previously identified high-grade zone at depth, as reflected in earlier section lines and aligned with Power’s exploration target model.”
PNN was down 3.70% to 13.0¢.
Looking wider, the S&P/ASX 200 was lower today, dropping 78.20 points or 0.89% to 8,705.70. The bottom performing stocks in this index are Paladin Energy and PDI Gold, down 7.97% and 3.91% respectively. The index has lost 0.25% for the last five days but is virtually unchanged year to date.
Elsewhere, the Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) has welcomed the introduction of a bill today to reform the taxation of discretionary trusts and private companies.
High-income earners routinely exploit discretionary trusts to cut their tax rates well below those paid by average workers, depriving the government of billions in revenue.
The legislation introduces a minimum 30% tax on discretionary trust income, helping close the gap so that people on high incomes contribute a fairer share towards services upon which we all rely.
ACOSS CEO Dr Cassandra Goldie said the proposed federal tax reforms are an urgent matter of basic economic fairness, and the current system is being exploited.
“It is not fair that someone earning $200,000 or more, who would usually pay 47% tax on extra income, can bring that rate down to 30% or less by passing income through a discretionary trust to their adult children or a private company, while an average worker pays tax at a rate of 30% of the next dollar earned,” Dr Goldie said.
