West Coast Silver (ASX:WCE) has this week confirmed extensive high-grade silver mineralisation in results from an aircore drill program at the Elizabeth Hill joint venture project in Western Australia.

The explorer, which holds a 70% stake in the JV, said February’s scout drilling program identified mineralisation from surface and immediately to the north of the historical mine workings in an area that has been sparsely explored.

The results of the 76-hole, 1,060-metre program have confirmed mineralisation now extends 150m north of 2025 diamond drilling and supports West Coast’s interpretation that mineralisation continues to the north.

West Coast’s executive director, Bruce Garlick, said the intersection of mineralisation within granite supports the prospectivity of further granite-hosted mineralisation at the project beyond one rock type hosting mineralisation.

“The board is highly encouraged by the outcomes of the recent shallow aircore scout drilling program at Elizabeth Hill near mine, along trend and regionally,” the West Coast Silver boss declared today.

“Multiple near-surface, high-grade silver intersections highlight Elizabeth Hill being an undervalued and under-explored property with confirmed growth opportunities through further exploration and development.”

Mr Garlick told shareholders that the extension of mineralisation beyond the previously drilled area in CY25 is of considerable importance to value creation.

“The identification of high-grade silver in multiple shallow aircore holes to the north and northwest highlights potential for the mineralised system to extend significantly beyond current drilling. This clearly demonstrates that the Elizabeth Hill trend remains open for further exploration,” he explained.

A mineralised intersection at Elizabeth Hill South, in particular, has confirmed historic silver intersections by previous explorers, while AC nickel and copper intersections at Natalie Hill support earlier historic drilling.

“The AC drilling in these areas opens up Elizabeth Hill to being potentially just one part of a bigger mineralisation story with opportunities for new silver and base metals occurrences regionally. The latest drilling has increased confidence in the scale potential of the silver mineralised system,” Mr Garlick said.

The company is now preparing for the next phase of exploration in CY26, focusing on near-surface and depth potential at Elizabeth Hill, examining extensions along strike, and testing the region for more high-value silver targets.

WCE is down -2.33%, to 21c today.
