92 Energy (92E) has encountered elevated radioactivity at its Tower Property in the Athabasca Basin district, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Four holes were drilled at Tower under 92 Energy’s maiden drilling program, with three detecting elevated radioactivity levels.
Hole TOW22-004 intersected the highest level of radioactivity of 960 counts per second (CPS).
Results from this drilling have produced “compelling follow-up targets for 92 Energy’s next work program at Tower.
Now that all four holes have been drilled, core samples have been sent to the SRC Geoanalytical Laboratory in Saskatoon with results expected in the next eight weeks.
“This drill program has identified several compelling targets to follow up with a subsequent Tower drill campaign, including an area where there is a significant fault zone in the basement cutting and offsetting the unconformity and penetrating upwards into the sandstone,” Managing Director Siobhan Lancaster said.
“Such fault zones are known to be highly prospective for unconformity-related uranium mineralisation.”
92 Energy closed 2.04 per cent lower at 48 cents per share.
