A recent insurgent attack in Mozambique has forced RBR Group (RBR) to suspend all ongoing work at its Wentworth accommodation training camp.

The company said it is focusing all its efforts on the safety and security of its staff after a suspected terrorist group attacked civilians in the town of Palma in northern Mozambique.

As a result, the company has suspended all work at the Wentworth accommodation, where it had laid plans to undertake training and labour hire operations.

RBR Group specialises in providing training, recruitment and human resources, and labour broking services in Australia and Mozambique.

More specifically, RBR has an interest in the Wentworth Accommodation Camp through its 50 per cent stake in Projectos Dinamicos Lda, which is developing a 668-bed accommodation camp for the Mozambique liquid natural gas project workforce.

The joint venture is with an engineering, procurement and construction contractor developing the LNG project on behalf of the operator, which is set to remain in place.

RBR advised it will provide further information to the market as it comes to hand.

RBR Group shares have dropped off 18.3 per cent on the back of the news, trading at 0.9 cents at 3:16 pm AEDT.
