Renergen’s (RLT) Non-Executive Chairman has announced his intention to step down from the board after seven years in the role.

Brett Kimber’s resignation will be effective from November 30 2021, which will see the company rotate its non-executive directors.

During Mr Kimber’s tenure, Renergen has grown from a start-up gas and helium explorer to successfully listing on both the JSE and ASX. The company’s focus is now on commissioning Phase 1 at the Virginia Gas Project in December.

“I would like to formally extend my sincere thanks to Brett for his service and dedication to Renergen over the past 7 years,” Renergen Stefano Marani said.

“His guidance has been invaluable in shepherding the company to our current position and the strong position we find ourselves in today.”

Existing Non-Executive Director, Dr David King, has agreed to assume the role of Non-Executive Chairman to steer the company during its transition into a helium and liquefied natural gas producer.

David King has served on the Renergen board since June 2019, additionally holding the roles of Non-Executive Director of ASX listed Galilee Energy (GLL) and AIM listed Litigation Capital Management.

Dr David King will take up the role from December 1, 2021.

Renergen shares last traded at $3.07 on November 10.
