Caprice Resources (CRS) has confirmed a gold anomaly stretching over one kilometre at the Solis prospect within its Island gold project in Western Australia.

The company’s recent 39-hole infill aircore drilling program delineated the gold anomalism, after tightening drill hole spacing over the area.

The results from this program saw consistent outcomes to the maiden program and allowed for a preliminary interpretation of the anomaly’s geology within the regolith profile.

Some of the best results seen include one metre at 3.6 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold from 37 metres, one metre at 1.3 g/t of gold from 34 metres, and one metres at 1 g/t of gold from 17 metres.

The company will now plan a follow up reverse circulation program to test greater depths.

Managing Director Andrew Muir said he is looking forward to testing the depth potential in the coming weeks.

“The maiden aircore program at Solis was an exceptional success, generating a large-scale anomaly in an untested area,” he said.

“The scale and coherence of the anomaly is outstanding.”

Shares were trading flat today in early trade at 8.1 cents each at 3:50 pm AEST.
