Arcadia Minerals (AM7) has completed a 10-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Karibib copper-gold project in Namibia.

The work was completed by Hammerstein Mining and Drilling, with 551 metres drilled to target lithologies known to contain mineralisation.

Drilling was undertaken over a three-by-one-kilometre area of a larger 20-by-two-kilometre metasedimentary structure that previously intersected up to 28.4 per cent copper and 26.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

Arcadia said it encountered visible mineralisation in eight of the holes, with an additional hole drilled to intersect mineralisation at a deeper depth.

The company took 240 samples from lithologies known to contain mineralisation and sent the samples off to Scientific Services in Cape Town for assay, with results expected by the end of October.

An electromagnetic survey is now underway to outline detailed structural featured associated with mineralisation.

The results will be used to aid Arcadia in refining its understanding of the geological setting of the mineralisation and identify further drill targets.

Shares in Arcadia were down 3.23 per cent and trading at 30 cents at 3:20 pm AEST.
