R3D Resources (R3D) has resumed low-grade furnace slag/matte shipments from its Zeehan project in Tasmania after it was granted a stage two permit by the West Coast Council.

The permit allows for crushing on site and access to the northern stock pile.

As part of the conditions of the permit grant, the mining lease bond has increased and a final rehabilitation plan for the site has been submitted.

The bond was increased to $200,000, which has partly been been paid by the company with a prepayment from a portion of the first resumed shipment.

The shipment departed last week with a 11,004-tonne export load heading to South Korea.

This is the 15th shipment by the company to date, with remaining stock piles on site of 120,000 tonnes.

Shares were trading in the grey to close at 8.7 cents.
