  • EverGreen Lithium’s (EG1) geochemical program has returned rare earth element (REE) findings at its Kenny project in Western Australia
  • A partial suite of REEs were assayed as part of a multi-element assay method used to identify lithium and its pathfinder elements

EverGreen Lithium’s (EG1) geochemical program has revealed the prospectivity for rare earth elements (REE) at its Kenny project east of Norseman in Western Australia.

The program identified four REE targets, indicated by several cerium and lanthanum anomalies.

The cerium assay ranged from 1.6 parts per million (ppm) up to 451ppm cerium oxide, with an average grade of 51.1ppm cerium oxide. The lanthanum oxide grades varied from 0.7ppm to 186.5ppm, with an average grade of 21.3ppm.

Yttrium Oxide results ranged from 2.7ppm to 62.4ppm, with an average grade of 14.5ppm.

“Geochemistry from our soil auger sampling program has detected several anomalies in the rare earth minerals cerium, lanthanum, and yttrium,” EverGreen Lithium’s head of exploration Jason Ward said.

“We are now undertaking further assays to determine the total rare earth oxide (TREO) of these samples, so that we can consider this information in our prioritisation of drill targets.”

An ongoing assay analysis is hoped will provide a comprehensive understanding of the REE potential and guide future drilling activities.

EG1 shares dropped 3.57 per cent trading at 40.5 cents at 2:00pm AEST.
