Battery Age Minerals (BM8) has executed an early exploration agreement (EEA) with Whitesand First Nation, enabling it to begin maiden drilling at its Falcon Lake lithium project in Ontario, Canada.

The agreement follows an extended period of positive consultation and discussions with the First Nations Group.

BM8 CEO Gerard O’Donovan said the company would work closely with the local people through all stages of its project.

“We appreciate the support of Chief Gustafson and the Whitesand Council and extended community,” he said.

“The company is extremely pleased that it took the time to cement a strong partnership with our First Nations partners, putting in place a strong and sustainable framework for advancing the project in close collaboration with Whitesand First Nation.”

“We now look forward to turning our full focus to drilling at Falcon Lake and rapidly unlocking the potential of this project for all of our key stakeholders,” Mr O’Donovan added.

Upon receiving the green light to move ahead, the company commenced drilling with all equipment already on site.

BM8 shares were up 4.44 per cent and trading at 47 cents at 1:46 pm AEST.
