SRG Global (ASX:SRG) has secured a road and bridge contract with Transport for New South Wales valued at around $90 million.

The contract with TfNSW is to aid in the construction of the soon-to-be-upgraded Princes Highway and Jervis Bay Road intersection at Falls Creek.

Just north of Nowra, SRG will construct an additional lane for the highway, with two lanes running in each direction, which is expected to be completed by 2026.

Work has begun immediately, with SRG Global Managing Director David Macgeorge stating the company is excited to secure additional large transport contracts following its most recent project.

“We are excited to secure a further integrated road and bridge project for transport for NSW following the successful recent delivery of one of the largest balanced cantilever bridges in the southern hemisphere at Bolivia Hill, NSW,” he said.

“This award is an outcome of our proven ability to target any major road and bridge projects in Australia, through now having the highest national road and bridge accreditation (R5/B4).”

Mr Macgeorge further commented that the award of another NSW contract reaffirmed the company’s position in the market, with its leading ability to develop complex road and bridge projects.

SRG shares were up 4.37 per cent, trading at 65.8 cents at 2:25 pm AEDT.
