Battery Age Minerals Ltd (ASX: BM8) is hoping to build on the exploration it conducted last year at Canadian lithium play, Falcon Lake – which verified the presence of high grade spodumene at the site – with a new round of field work for the summer season.

In 2023, the company identified more than 30 outcropping pegmatites at Falcon Lake, as well as a 5 kilometre long corridor prospective for spodumene.

The focus now will be on both generation and ranking of new targets to guide further drilling at the play, which is located in the province of Ontario, 325 kilometres from Thunder Bay.

Part of this will mean deeper investigation of major regional structures, concentrating on areas of elevated topographic relief, as well as rock chip sampling outcrops and identification of LCT pegmatite intrusions.

In addition to this, LIDAR (light detection and ranging) and Ortho Imagery and Litho-geochemical bedrock sampling will also be carried out to further Battery Age’s understanding of the project’s territorial geology.

CEO Nigel Broomham said last year’s exploration work had bolstered hopes of securing greater knowledge at the project.

“We are very excited to get the Battery Age team of experienced lithium geologists back on
the ground at our flagship Falcon Lake Lithium Project in Ontario, as we look to build on the
great results delivered from last year’s field campaign,” he said.

“We are determined to explore the potential of these properties to generate further high-priority drill targets and unlock the value of the project.”

Battery Age Minerals has been trading at 9.4c.
