Consumer healthcare business Wellnex Life Ltd (ASX:WNX) is set to introduce a new medicinal cannabis brand – Wellness Life – to the Australian market, where it will be sold at Chemist Warehouse stores and also be prescribed through teleheath provider InstantConsult.

In conjunction with this, Wellnex Life and OneLife Botanicals has also enlisted Dr Sylvia Victor – who has been at the helm of many medicinal cannabis clinics and pharmacies across Australia – to oversee the joint venture’s activities and guide the success of the new brand.

Wellnex Life CEO George Karafotias said the new brand – which will launch officially on July 1 – represented his company’s stronger investment in the medicinal cannabis field.

“We are thrilled to launch Wellness Life in collaboration with Chemist Warehouse and OneLife Botanicals,” he said.

“This marks a significant step in providing high-quality medicinal cannabis products to the
burgeoning SAS-B market in Australia.”

Wellnex Life has been trading at 2.8 cents.
