RocketDNA (ASX:RKT) has announced it’s won a $350K contract with a company called SSG Security Solutions to supply mine sites with its autonomous PatrolBots.

The machines do what they sound like – automate the job of constantly circling the perimeter of sensitive facilities and locations at higher risk of burglary and vandalism.

For all intents and purposes, the company is essentially offering an AI-backed land drone. It says the PatrolBots – which are an evolution of earlier models developed by RocketDNA – won’t require constant human supervision.

“These contract wins further validate the commercial demand for our autonomous xBot drone technology, particularly in the security and surveillance arena,” RocketDNA CEO Chris Clark said.

“RocketDNA’s deployment of PatrolBot aligns with our broader business strategy of expanding our reach into industries where security, public safety, and critical infrastructure protection are top priorities.

“These new contracts reinforce RocketDNA’s position as a leader in delivering cutting-edge drone solutions that solve real-world problems for our enterprise customers.”
