Haranga Resources (ASX:HAR) has offered investors a glimpse into the on-site machinations of its Lincoln Gold Project on Thursday, citing an imminent plan. to kick off drilling at the project (while the yellow metal enjoys fresh record highs) as soon as de-watering of existing assets is complete. Once dewatering reaches ‘the 500 level,’ Haranga reports, the rigs will fire up.

Dewatering is, of course, a regulatory minefield in itself, but one which Haranga reportedly has under control. A water treatment plant (WTP) has already been constructed on-site and currently hums away live, with the ‘String Bean Alley Decline’ – a key target of interest – the immediate area of focus for dewatering activities. This, Haranga states, is key to the company’s mission for a JORC resource estimate by EOY.

“The Company is pleased to advise that the underground water treatment plant is fully operational; that initial sampling of the output has passed discharge conditions; and that dewatering of the decline has commenced via controlled discharge from its spray field system,” Haranga wrote, referencing overhead conditions imposed by Canberra’s Mines Safety and Health Administration.

“The Company will provide further updates as the dewatering progresses, and ahead of the commencement of its maiden underground diamond drill program at Lincoln,” Haranga elaborated.

“The Company is aiming to complete the drill program and then potentially deliver a JORC compliant mineral resource estimate by the end of this year.”
