From gas to financial brokers, biotech operators to lithium miners, and even a struggling casino operator, the stocks that drew HotCopper users’ eyes the most ranged across a whole pile of interesting market sectors.

Of the 2,000-plus entities listed on the ASX in CY25, these ten stood out by quite a distance on the HotCopper forums as the most-watched of the year.
First up, and by more than 110,000 views in the end, antimony-gold explorer Larvotto Resources took the crown. Across the last twelve months, the ASX stock netted as many as 5,729,932 views through its many threads.
No surprise Larvotto drew the attention it did on HotCopper either, considering it has advanced +132% this last year as it keeps progressing Hillgrove. Most recently, it even fielded a $1.40/sh takeover offer the same week it hit fresh antimony-gold at its New South Wales site. It turned the approach down.
Coming in second was Dateline Resources, which was viewed by 5.6 million in CY25. The explorer enjoyed a blockbuster +6,614% advance through the calendar year, mostly helped on by all the “buried treasure” at Colosseum and Dateline’s move to acquire “the largest known U.S. strontium deposit.”
Rounding out the podium for this now-ending calendar year was Mesoblast, which has been in these kinds of lists before. I suspect some of these views – as many as 5.18 million, in the end – was because Mesoblast has long been seen as a strong “bagger” chance on the forums and people have stuck around.
Mesoblast had a quieter year than it did in 2024, when it cleared every viewing metric we’d had on the forums, but it still managed to end +12.9% higher than it started in January and is worth $2.88/sh twelve months on.
Other stock picks that came close included Mineral Resources (3.9 million views), DroneShield (3.8 million), and even Imugene (3.5 million).
Here’s the full top 10 list of most watch stocks:

- Brainchip Holdings (ASX:BRN)
- Invictus Energy (ASX:IVZ)

Looking back last year is interesting to see which companies survived and which had eventually faded away. Across the list, Mesoblast, Imugene, Liontown, Invictus, and Larvotto appeared in CY24 and stuck around in CY25.
Larvotto managed to make the largest jump on the list, climbing from tenth place this time last year all the way to the biggest stock on HotCopper right now.
Meanwhile, last year’s leader Strike Energy has faded away completely, while Zip Co, Melbana Energy, Raiden Resources, and Summit Minerals have all now fallen out of wider HotCopper discussions by December.
There was also plenty of crossover with the year’s Most Discussed stocks.
