Adisyn’s (ASX:AI1) share price jumped +13% through to close Monday after the company shared that it had established a new subsidiary developing technologies to help protect drones, UAVs, and other defence applications.

The move to create spin-off 2D Radar Absorbers follows the successful demonstration of up to 20dB radar signature reduction using graphene-enhanced composite materials in testing conducted in collaboration with Tel Aviv University.

The company is now progressing a targeted development program aimed at optimising the materials to achieve approximately 30dB radar signature reduction.

MD, Arye Kohavi, said a reduction of that magnitude represents a massive 1,000-fold decrease in radar return signal strength, meaning a drone that previously appeared as a large object on radar would appear closer to the size of a large insect.

“If achieved, such reductions may significantly reduce the radar detectability of drones and UAV platforms and have potential applications across defence, aerospace, and advanced materials sectors,” he said.

“Recent laboratory results demonstrating a 20dB radar signature reduction highlight the potential of graphene-enhanced materials in radar absorption applications.

“The establishment of 2D Radar Absorbers allows us to focus targeted resources on advancing this technology alongside our core semiconductor program.“

Mr Kohavi said Adisyn’s focus remains on graphene interconnect solutions for next-generation semiconductors; radar absorption represents an exciting additional opportunity emerging from its graphene expertise.

“I can envisage a time in the not-too-distant future where this incredible technology could be spun out into a separate vehicle for the benefit of our shareholders.”

Mr Kohavi said applications are being prepared for Israeli Ministry of Defence grant funding. The estimated market size for military drones alone globally is ~US$20.7 billion in CY26, rising to US$66.5 billion in CY25.

Al1 closed up +13.2%, selling at 4.3cps on Monday.
