- Alligator has produced a uranium-rich solution at Samphire at concentrations that it says aligns with previous technical modelling.
- Pregnant lixiviant grades have peaked above 200 mg/L U₃O₈.
- Reagent consumption, flow rates, permeability, porosity in line with assumptions.
A “delighted” Alligator Energy (ASX:AGE) has produced a uranium-rich solution at concentrations that it says aligns with previous technical modelling in the first well pattern at its Samphire Uranium Project Field Recovery Trial.

To date, the FRT has progressed to ~39 pore volumes out of a planned 70 PV. In In-Situ Recovery operations, a pore volume represents the solution required to fill the natural void spaces in the orebody; tracking these volumes indicates how many times the mineralised zone has been flushed during extraction.
Data from onsite labs have shown that pregnant lixiviant grades peaked at over 200mg/L U3O8 and remain above 100mg/L U3O8. Recovery exceeded ~55% across the 39 PV processed, Alligator reported. These figures suggest consistent leaching performance and effective mobilisation in the wellfield.
The results “demonstrate performance consistent with our models and support the
assumptions outlined in the CY23 study,” the company wrote.
“We are delighted with these results,” CEO and managing director, Andrea Marsland-Smith, declared today, restating that the results have validated the company’s early design choices and operating assumptions – and Alligator is now very confident it can achieve targeted recovery and tenor under field conditions.
She continued: “Achieving greater than 55% recovery at this stage, with reagent consumption in line with expectations, demonstrates the effectiveness of the ISR process under field conditions. Importantly, we are seeing consistent solution flow and wellfield performance, which gives us confidence as we progress to the planned 70 pore volumes and continue to optimise recovery.”
Shareholders won’t have to wait for more news either. “We expect to report final results from this well pattern at the end of April,” Ms Marsland-Smith said.
Among that late-month news flow will be more results from Alligator’s on-site Samphire testing; those are being validated by a duplicate assay at a NATA-certified external laboratory, and “will be released in due course.”
Heading into Friday, AGE shares are selling at 4.1c a pop.
