Anova Metals (AWV) has intersected further “outstanding” results at its Big Springs Gold Project in Nevada.

In mid-January, Anova received the first batch of results which returned up to 31.5g/t gold.

This drilling program is the first to be undertaken at Big Springs since 2017 and aimed to deliver infill and extensional drilling of the existing mineral resource as well as test new exploration targets.

Seven diamond holes were drilled at the North Sammy deposit and three were drilled at South Sammy totalling 1702 metres.

Anova has received results from three holes at South Sammy and one hole from North Sammy. Results from the remaining holes are expected over the coming weeks.

Best results include 10.85 metres at 3.96g/t gold from 87.33 metres including 3.05 metres at 6.16g/t gold, and 5.49 metres at 15.23g/t gold from 106.07 metres.

“The continuing high grade results returned from the 2020 drilling program are highly encouraging,” Managing Director Dr Mingyan Wang said.

“Latest intercepts received are significant in establishing the down dip extension and continuity of high grade gold grade mineralisation at the 401 deposit, South Sammy,” he added.

Anova has ended the day 11.1 per cent in the red with shares trading at 2.4 cents in a $38.69 million market cap.
