Ariana Resources (ASX:AA2) has this week reported a fresh batch of high-grade gold hits from its Dokwe gold project in Zimbabwe as the explorer looks to add to the already established 1.1 million ounce resource.

Drilling has extended mineralisation up to 150 metres beyond the current resource boundary, pointing to strong growth potential. MD, Dr Kerim Sener, said high-grade intercepts, including four metres at 16.9 grams per tonne gold, have confirmed strong mineralisation at Dokwe North.
“These results confirm the Dokwe North mineralised system continues beyond the limits of the current resource model towards the north-east,” Dr Sener said.
He continued: “It is particularly encouraging that we can report several high‐grade intersections, including 4,0m at around 17 g/t gold, which highlight the strength and continuity of the mineralised shear zone.
“The program has successfully tested extensions both along strike and down‐dip of the shear zone, and the results reinforce the potential to expand the existing Dokwe mineral resource. It is also apparent that such resource expansion potential lies within a zone likely to represent oxide mineralisation.”
Ariana’s Phase 2 diamond drilling will next kick off in late March to refine the geological model and support a potential JORC resource upgrade.
“Our next planned phase of diamond drilling for later this month in this area aims to confirm the structural interpretation, test further extensions of the system and support future resource growth at Dokwe,” Mr Sener said.
Kicking off in November, phase one was initially set at 26 holes, 4,000-metre RC and was designed to test four target areas within the Dokwe gold project.
In December, Ariana also announced an update on the program and outlined several geological interpretations of holes drilled within the Dokwe Central area. On 23 December 2025, these interpretations were updated again when the first assay results (for DRC9) were announced for Dokwe Central.
The program is now complete, comprising 5,659m of drilling across 31 holes.
AA2 is steady at 33.5cps this Wednesday afternoon.
