Ava Risk Group (AVA) has secured an additional contract for the supply and installation of a Fibre Option Intrusion Detection System at a North American energy facility.

The order is valued at roughly US$400,000 (A$600,000), with the supply of material expected to be fulfilled in the first half of the current financial year.

This marks the third critical asset at the same energy facility where Ava’s advanced sensing solution is being deployed, replacing a competitor’s technology.

Today’s news builds on the installation of previous systems, bringing the company’s total contract value to date to US$1.4 million.

“It is pleasing to build momentum in the North American energy sector following our significant business development investment and given that we identified this as a key growth market,” Ava Risk Group CEO Rob Broomfield said.

“The fact that our sensing technology is replacing a competitor’s existing technology as part of an upgrade program demonstrates the strength of our sensing solutions in protecting critical infrastructure assets.”

The company said it anticipated further systems to be awarded as part of an ongoing upgrade program at the site.

Ava Risk Group was down 1.15 per cent and trading at 21.5 cents at 3:10 pm AEDT.
