- Follow-up drilling continues to extend Torpy’s silver-lead-zinc-indium system towards surface
- High-grade mineralisation now extended up-dip from previous intersections
- Results support emerging interpretation of multiple high-grade mineralised shoots within broader polymetallic system.
- Assays remain pending for five more holes from Torpy’s and five holes from Little Torpy’s
Ballymore Resources (ASX: BMR) has received further high-grade silver-lead-zinc-indium assay results from its Torpy’s discovery near Chillagoe in North Queensland.
MD David A-Izzeddin, said the latest results continue to demonstrate the shallow nature, high grades and growing extent of the Torpy’s mineralised system, with drilling extending high-grade mineralisation approximately 30m up-dip of previously reported intersections.
He told shareholders that importantly, the latest drilling provides greater definition of the geometry of the system, with results supporting Ballymore’s emerging interpretation of multiple high-grade mineralised shoots occurring within a broader polymetallic mineralised envelope.
“These latest results are particularly encouraging because we are continuing to intersect very high-grade silver-lead-zinc-indium mineralisation at shallow depths. The intersection in BTPRC018, with 5.0 metres at 149 g/t silver, 6.9% lead and 9.1% zinc from just 27 metres, including 2.0 metres at 334 g/t silver, 15.6% lead and 19.1% zinc, highlights the quality of mineralisation we are continuing to encounter at Torpy’s. These are world-class grades, almost at surface,” Mr A-Izzeddin said.
“Importantly, the latest drilling is starting to give us a much clearer picture of the system. We are seeing multiple high-grade mineralised shoots within a broader polymetallic envelope, while the lower-grade near-miss holes are helping us understand the margins and geometry of those shoots. Exploration is testing Torpy’s and Little Torpy’s across an approximately 600-metre-long prospective corridor, and the intervening ground remains a priority for further investigation.
“With further assays still pending, the gravity survey now providing targets across the broader Ruddygore Project and a drone magnetic survey scheduled to commence next month, we are anticipating further exciting results from Torpy’s and elsewhere across Ruddygore.”
Ballymore’s exploration of Torpy’s has progressed from confirming the presence of high-grade polymetallic mineralisation during the maiden drilling campaign to progressively testing its geometry, continuity and extent.
The latest drilling has:
• Extended high-grade mineralisation approximately 30m up-dip from previously reported intersections.
• Confirmed significant mineralisation at increasingly shallow depths.
• Identified multiple mineralised intervals consistent with an emerging high-grade shoot model.
• Demonstrated the presence of significant silver, lead, zinc and indium across multiple drill holes.
• Provided additional geological constraints from both high-grade intersections and near-miss holes that will assist with future drill targeting.
BMR is up 12.5% to 13.5¢. Mkt cap $29.24M.
