Battery Age Minerals (BM8) has signed on Canada-based drilling contractor Rodren Drilling to complete a maiden program at its Falcon Lake project in Ontario

Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Rodren Drilling has more than 40 years of experience drilling across various commodities and industrial sectors.

Battery Age said Rodren Drilling was well known for its ability to understand the needs of its clients.

“Rodren are extremely experienced drillers who will bring a wealth of knowledge to the table with respect to Canadian drilling operations. We look forward to working with them into the future,” BM8 CEO Gerard O’Donovan said.

The company said final planning and mobilisation activities were underway, with drilling expected to commence in four to six weeks’ time.

“This is an exciting time for Battery Age, with mobilisation activities well advanced for the start of drilling in the coming weeks,” Mr O’Donovan said.

The Falcon Lake lithium project lies in the ties-one Thunder Bay mining jurisdiction in north-western Ontario. With 214 mining claims over an area of 42.8 square kilometres, Falcon Lake resides within a “highly fertile” region for spodumene-bearing pegmatites, according to BM8.

Historic intercepts include 24.4 metres at 1.43 per cent lithium oxide from 10.9 metres, including nine metres at 1.95 per cent lithium oxide.

Shares in BM8 were trading at 46 cents at 10:42 am AEDT.
