Battery Age Minerals (BM8) has commenced a maiden fieldwork program at its Tidili copper-gold project in Morocco.

The program is designed to verify historical works and carry out further mapping and sampling, laying the groundwork for a more expansive exploration campaign planned for later in the year.

Battery Age CEO Gerard O’Donovan said it was pleasing to commence fieldwork at the “highly-prospective” project.

“We are very pleased to be kicking off our maiden fieldwork campaign at the Tidili copper-gold project, in a region we see very favourable for the development of mineral projects,” he said.

“This initial phase of field exploration will provide the information required so that we can progress our systematic plan to unlock the value of this asset.”

The company announced it has also called on geologist Dr Simon Dorling of Rock Domain Consulting to aid in exploration and evaluation efforts at the project.

“Simon is a highly regarded industry expert, and we are delighted to have secured his services to help plan and execute our exploration programs at Tidili,” Mr O’Donovan added.

Battery Age said Dr Dorling has “extensive experience” in the exploration, development and mining across base metals, precious metals, energy minerals and industrial minerals.

The company confirmed he will work closely with the Battery Age team and General Manager of Exploration, Nigel Broomham.
