Castile Resources (CST) has intersected a high-grade copper zone at the Rover 1 Deposit in the Northern Territory.

The Rover 1 Deposit is part of Castile’s 100 per cent owned Rover Project which lies 80 kilometres southwest of Tennant Creek.

The Rover 1 Deposit has a JORC 2012 mineral resource of 6.9 million tonnes at 1.74 grams of gold per tonne (g/t), 2.07g/t silver, 1.2 per cent copper, 0.14 per cent bismuth and 0.06 per cent copper.

Hole 21CRD002 intersected a broad copper zone and returned 20.5 metres at 2.26 per cent copper with 0.31 grams of gold per tonne (g/t), 4.6g/t silver, 0.3 per cent bismuth and 0.2 per cent cobalt from 450.5 metres.

A further zone was also intersected in the deeper part of the hole and intersected up to three per cent copper, 0.1g/t gold, 1.5g/t silver and 0.3 per cent bismuth.

Managing Director Mark Hepburn is excited by the results as work continues at Rover 1.

“Hole 21CRD002 is another great copper hit at Rover 1 as we continue through the program,” Mr Hepburn said.

“We anticipate the extended lengths of mineralisation at consistent grades in these results will enhance our mining studies as we work towards the pre feasibility study.”

Castile was up 1.19 per cent on the market with shares trading at 21.3 cents at 11:40 am AEST.
