Automotive solutions provider Connexion Telematics (CXZ) has finally confirmed Aaryn Nania as the company’s new Managing Director and CEO.
Aaryn has been acting in the role since August of last year, following the departure of previous CEO and Managing Director Guy Perkins. Perkins only held the role for a year, and his unexpected exit triggered what the company called “a period of detailed review”.
Before taking on the role, Aaryn held directorships at numerous ASX-listed and unlisted companies and also co-founded one of Connexion’s key financiers.
Alongside Aaryn’s appointment, Connexion has also tapped Greg Ross and Simon Scalzo as Independent Non-Executive Directors of the company.
Greg currently acts as an investor and advisor in the connected car sector and is Connected Car Practice Lead at industry mainstay motormindz.
Notably, Greg previously racked up 31 years at automotive multinational General Motors, spearheading a multi-million-dollar global portfolio of strategic alliances for GM’s Connected Car business.
Meanwhile, Simon holds a series of directorships and advisory roles both in Australia and overseas, including with U.S.-based digital automotive dealership Carsfast.com.
Chairman Robert Downey, who stepped into his role back in October, commented on the new appointments.
“The appointment of Greg, Simon and Aaryn as Managing Director provides the Company with the management and leadership the Company needs to execute on our exciting development plans. Together with our dedicated and hardworking employees, we look forward to delivering on our dynamic development strategy,” he said.
Connexion Telematics (CXZ) is up 14.29 per cent and trading at 1.6 cents per share at 12:31 pm AEDT.
