Spacetalk’s (SPA) smartwatch for children, Spacetalk Adventurer, will be available in Finland through a partnership with Elisa Corporation.

Elisa is Finland’s largest telecommunications and digital services company and it plans to stock Spacetalk Adventurer in all its 50 brick and mortar stores and online, with the launch pitted for November.

Additionally, Elisa has developed a SIM for Spacetalk making the Adventurer watch available to customers on a monthly plan.

Spacetalk Adventurer said it received Global Certification Forum certification
last month and it was upgrading its watches and app to support eight key European languages in time for the launch.

The company hasn’t stated the financial impact from the roll out, as there is no guaranteed or minimum level of revenue, however, SPA expects there will be a direct positive impact on its total revenue.

Commenting on the partnership, Spacetalk CEO Mark Fortunatow said the companies have a shared history and passion about child safety and family connectivity.

“We are delighted to have Elisa launching Spacetalk in the Nordic region, a market where the awareness and growth of the connected kids wearables category is advanced,” Mr Fortunatow said.

Shares were trading flat at 22 cents at 1:16pm AEDT.
