The concession covers 1,448 square kilometres, with the Al Wash-hi Majaza copper mine and Mullaq prospect located within the area.

Alara MD, Atmavireshwar Sthapak, said the airborne survey marks a significant milestone in the advancement of AHML – in which Alara holds a 27.5% interest – and its regional exploration strategy and is aimed at identifying and prioritising prospective mineralised targets across the concession area.

“The commencement of the airborne geophysical survey over concession 22B represents an important step in advancing our exploration activities in Oman,” Mr Sthapak said.

“The integration of magnetic and electromagnetic datasets is expected to significantly enhance our understanding of the concession’s geological architecture and assist in identifying priority targets for follow-up exploration.”

“We believe this survey has significant potential to unlock additional value across the concession area, which includes the Al Wash-hi Majaza Copper-Gold Project, the Mullaq Prospect, and numerous historical mining workings.

“The program represents an important step in advancing our understanding of the region’s mineral potential and supports Alara’s long-term strategy of building a robust pipeline of exploration and development assets in Oman.”

The entire concession area of 1448 sq. km is being covered by the Heli-TEM survey. The survey will be flown at a 250m flight line spacing, with an expected survey duration of approximately two months.

The program is designed to collect high-resolution geophysical data using a combination of:

  • Electromagnetic (EM) surveying – to detect conductive geological features potentially associated with sulphide mineralisation and alteration systems; and
  • Magnetic Surveying – to map variations in the magnetic properties of underlying rocks and structures; and is expected to provide valuable regional-scale data to improve geological interpretation and assist in identifying concealed mineral targets beneath surface cover.

A dedicated technical team has mobilised to supervise, monitor and ensure quality control of data acquisition in real time.

AUQ is steady at 3.5¢. Mkt cap $28.10M.
