Infini Resources (ASX:I88) has announced soil sampling remains underway at Portland Creek – not long after the company possibly made history finding uranium grades in soil of over 7%.

So far, a total of 382 samples have been collected – not even the lion’s share of a targeted 1,300 total sample count defining this fieldwork run.

The end goal is a diamond drill run to further test what lies underneath for which an application submission remains in progress.

Notably, focus remains on the A1 target area of interest which contained the high-grade Talus soil anomaly grading in at 7.5%. The company has further won approval for a drone-flown electromag survey over the project acreage.

CEO Charles Armstrong has been on-site at Portland Creek in Canada to oversee progress in the recent days and weeks, also to meet with stakeholders from the Minerals Land Division in St. John’s and private landowners.

“The recent visit to site was an excellent opportunity to catch up with field staff and to build relationships with our local stakeholders including the owners of our accommodation site at Mountain Waters Resort whose continual support we are grateful for,” Infini MD Charles Armstrong said.

“It was also fantastic to engage with the Newfoundland Mineral Lands Division in St Johns. I very much look forward to expediting the geochemical analysis of the collected soil samples, so that we can urgently finalise and submit a diamond drilling approval request.”
