International Graphite (IG6) has reported further “exceptional” results after receiving assays for 74 RC drillholes completed at its Springdale graphite project in Western Australia.

Standout results from drilling included four metres at 17.2 per cent total graphitic carbon (TGC) from 53 metres downhole including three metres at 20.5 per cent TGC from 54 metres downhole.

Other hits included 16 metres at 4.9 per cent TGC from three metres downhole and 18 metres at 13 per cent TGC from 47 metres downhole including one metre at 25.1 per cent from 56 metres downhole and four metres at 28.4 per cent TGC from 59 metres downhole.

The drillholes were from within the existing mineral resource for the project. The company aims to release a revised mineral resource estimate (MRE) for Springdale in the coming weeks once all assays are received.

IG6 has completed roughly 273 drillholes during its 2022 and 2023 drilling campaign.

“These drill holes provide additional data that will be used to upgrade confidence in the existing Springdale mineral resource estimate from inferred to indicated status,” IG6 Managing Director and CEO Andrew Worland said.

“We have completed some 9-10000 metres of infill drilling at the existing Springdale mineral resource over the past 12 months.

“This more than doubles the drill database that supports the existing mineral resource estimate.”

The company announced around 5000 metres of drilling were completed at the Spingdale Central discovery, and 3200 metres at the Mason Bay discovery.

The current Springdale inferred MRE stands at 15.6 million tonnes at 6 per cent TGC.

Shares in IG6 last traded at 20 cents.
