KNeoMedia receives a 500 seat order from a school in Florida, in the USA for its KneoWorld after a successful trial.
Florida A&M University Development Research School (FAMU DRS) in Tallahassee, Florida will be collaborating with the company after outstanding early results from its students.
KneoWorld is an online-story based learning portfolio that helps educators explore and builds on the practical use of storytelling.
The program has story-based lessons, educational games and assessment program that helps encourage students of all ages and abilities to learn.
“Story-based lessons take students into a futuristic world of epic adventures where validated educational content has been created around numeracy, literacy, science, arts, critical thinking and life skills,” the company said.
The initial 2019 Summer Program allowed elementary and middle school students to use KneoWorld platform for three weeks. The students improved and FAMU DRS will now use the platform.
FAMU DRS is a K-12 laboratory school in Tallahassee, Florida, associated with Florida A&M University. Its mission is to conduct research, demonstration, and evaluation of the management of teaching and learning.
Dr Patricia West FAMU DRS Assistant Superintendent says the partnership with KneoWorld has started off well.
“It has been an absolute pleasure to see our scholars excited about and engaged in the learning process as they navigate this interactive instructional program, and our teachers have already seen student progress,” she said.
FAMU DRS says it will use the program in more Florida schools from October onwards.
KneoWorld’s Director of Curriculum & Instruction Dr. Denine Jimmerson is pleased about another win.
“After recently establishing our two back-to-back programs in Yuma, Arizona and Cleveland, Ohio that were successful, KneoWorld is busier than ever – and right before Back-To-School,” she said.
KNeoMedia is a publishing company that delivers world-class education and assessment products to global markets in both special and general education classrooms via its KneoWorld portal.
KNeoMedia’s CEO James Kellett says this deal is a ‘game changer’ for the company in Florida.
“FAMU DRS’s resounding endorsement of our content is a game-changer for us in Florida. We look forward to reporting more and larger sales in Florida and achieving critical mass there,” he said.
The company will receive the full revenue from the platform sales which would be US$ 50 per seat.
