Memphasys (ASX: MEM) has signed a 12-month exclusive national supply agreement with Monash IVF Group for its Felix sperm selection system, marking the biotechnology company’s largest commercial arrangement to date.

The deal follows a decade-long collab between the two groups and comes after Monash IVF completed a pivotal clinical trial of the Felix system in CY25.

Under the deal, Monash IVF will deploy Felix across its Australian clinic network, which spans 22 clinics in mainland capital cities. The rollout will begin with an initial three-month implementation phase at two designated sites before expanding nationally upon successful completion of predefined deployment milestones.

Memphasys said the agreement establishes a pathway to recurring revenue through the supply of Felix cartridges and consoles, while also providing greater visibility over revenue generation during the contract term. Terms were not disclosed.

The Felix system recently secured inclusion on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods, enabling immediate commercial deployment across Australia.

The technology is designed to improve sperm selection during assisted reproductive procedures by isolating highly viable sperm cells without the centrifugation processes commonly used in traditional laboratory workflows.

Monash, one of Australia’s largest fertility providers, reported more than 12K stimulated IVF cycles during FY25 and accounts for ~21% of Australia’s stimulated IVF market. Memphasys said the agreement represents a “significant step” in its major transition from product validation to large-scale commercialisation.

The company expects the arrangement to support ongoing revenue generation and potentially create opportunities for expansion beyond the initial 12-month term. Quarterly ordering schedules and performance review mechanisms have been incorporated into the agreement, with both parties retaining the option to negotiate future extensions.

The agreement follows the successful completion of a multi-site clinical trial conducted by Monash IVF, which confirmed the system’s performance in sperm selection and provided a foundation for broader commercial adoption.

Australia remains a key target market for Felix’s commercialisation, with more than 60K fresh IVF cycles performed annually.

Memphasys believes deployment across the Monash IVF network will provide an important reference site for future domestic and international growth.

Beyond Australia, Felix has already been positioned in markets including Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, India, Japan, and Southeast Asia as Memphasys pursues broader global adoption of the technology.
