Video game developer Mighty Kingdom (MKL) will launch its first console game, Conan Chop Chop, on March 1.

In partnership with Funcom Oslo, Mighty Kingdom has developed an online, multi-player action-adventure game using the globally recognised ‘Conan the Barbarian’ intellectual property.

Both parties will share all revenue from Conan Chop Chop after cost recoup, with a strong marketing campaign to come in the upcoming weeks.

In the game, players are able to take control of Conan and his friends who take on the world of Hyboria to collect loot and “hack’n’slash” through a vast range of battles.

This game will be available on PlayStation, XBOX, PC and Nintendo Switch.

The developers will introduce Conan Chop Chop with hands-on access through events such as Stream Next Fest from February 21 as well as a limited demo release on the Nintendo Switch.

While the price is yet to be announced, Mighty Kingdom said it will be priced competitively for its market.

“Conan Chop Chop offers a uniquely Mighty Kingdom take on Conan The Barbarian,” Managing Director Philip Mayes said.

“Funcom has been a fantastic partner throughout the development of this, our first console game, and we’ve created an experience which will appeal to a broad audience with an ESRB E PEGI rating of 7+ suitable for parents and children alike.

“Its launch represents the first milestone in our deep pipeline of titles that has been scheduled for release in FY22 and FY23.”

Mighty Kingdom has ended the day 10.3 per cent in the green with shares trading at 16 cents for a $25.69 million market cap.
