In this daily HotCopper Trends column, we break down the top three stocks talked about on any given trade day, and why they’ve drawn a daily focus.
Winsome Resources (ASX:WR1) was the most-discussed stock on HotCopper through Monday trade, after Canadian mineral explorer Li-FT Power moved to acquire 100% of the securities for the Australian company.
Shareholders are now expected to get 0.17 Li-FT shares for each WR1 share they carried (worth around 43 cents each), a 33.6% premium on last closing price.
There were some celebrations across the forums, with many users declaring that “congratulations were in order.” Others weren’t so sure, splitting the vibe between holders right down the middle through Monday morning.
Elsewhere, 4DMedical (ASX:4DX) drew a strong heaping attention after this week landing regulatory approval for its CT:VQ imaging solution technology.
“This approval marks a significant expansion of 4DMedical’s presence in North America, enabling immediate commercial development of CT:VQ across Canada through the company’s strategic partnership,” 4DX wrote.
4DX shares climbed after the news broke, adding +5.9% into the arvo.
And finally, Electro Optic Systems (ASX:EOS) rounded out the top three most discussed on HotCopper today after signing a conditional agreement with a Korean-based customer that will net it as much as US$80M.
EOS shares have been up nearly +27%.
Looking wider, the ASX 200 is down around -0.7%.
