Orcoda (ODA) has announced that its subsidiary Betta Group has signed a $6.8 million statement of works with Aurizon Network (AZJ).

The deal allows Betta to install and commission remote-controlled signalling at six of the company’s locations in Newlands at Queensland’s Bowen Basin.

Aurizon is the nation’s leading rail transport business, and revenue from the contract is expected by the second half of this year, and the first half of 2024.

“This contract win demonstrates our ability to win and execute large projects and a trusted transport infrastructure contractor in the Central Queensland region for our core clients such as Aurizon,” Orcoda Managing Director Geoff Jamieson said.

This is not the first contract Betta has signed with Aurizon, as the two companies penned an $800,000 works contract at the beginning of June.

The contract allowed Betta to instal LED lighting at Aurizon’s Callemondah rail yard as part of its energy efficiency implementation program.

Orcoda shares were up 1.92 per cent, trading at 26.5 cents at 3:43 pm AEST.
