Pro Medicus’ (PME) co-founders, Dr Sam Hupert and Anthony Hall, have sold one million PME shares each.

The sale was completed yesterday and represents less than four per cent of their individual holdings.

“We announced in February 2018 that the board had encouraged the founders to consider selling up to three million shares each, in order to improve the liquidity in the company’s shares,” Chairman Peter Kempen said.

“This latest transaction completes that process. The sale, to a number of local institutions, was done “at market” which reflects the very strong underlying demand for the company’s shares,” he added.

Dr Sam and Anthony do not intend to sell any further shares in PME in the foreseeable future.

The pair remain the two key stakeholders, with their combined holding — post this recent sale — in excess of 52 per cent of the shares on issue.

“Dr Hupert and Anthony Hall remain actively engaged in the company and are committed to its future,” Peter concluded.

Earlier this month, PME agreed to pay a fully franked interim dividend of 7 cents per share, following a positive financial report.

On the market today, PME is up 0.89 per cent and trading at $46.38 per share at 11:10 am AEDT.
