Redstone Resources (RDS) completed phase one reconnaissance exploration at its recently acquired Attwood Lake lithium project in Ontario, Canada.
The company engaged APEX Geoscience to conduct a helicopter-supported geological mapping and sampling program, specifically targeting lithium and rare-earth element (REE) bearing pegmatites.
The phase one program involved a team of four experienced geologists who carried out mapping and sampling activities at Attwood Lake.
It led to the discovery of numerous pegmatite showings within the project area. 209 rock grab samples were collected from various pegmatitic bodies.
The exploration program encompassed a wide range of lithologies, including quartz dolerite, amphibolites, metasediments, medium-to-coarse-grained granites, and pegmatitic-grained granites to pegmatites.
The diverse lithologies were sampled to assess their mineral composition and the presence of lithium and rare-earth elements. The collected samples were sent to the laboratory for detailed geochemical analysis.
Redstone Resources was up 7.14 per cent and trading at 0.8 cents at 1:56 pm AEST.
