SportsHero’s (SHO) localised football app OlahBola has reached a milestone four million new unique users.

SportsHero’s OlahBola app is locally branded and designed for Indonesian football fans who follow leagues like Spains’s La Liga and the English Premier League.

The app was launched in Indonesia in July 2020 and has since reached 4,093,057 new unique users.

“We continue to be very pleased with the continued rapid user growth on our OlahBola platform,” said SportsHero CEO Tom Lapping.

“The response to our first Esports practice match was exciting and significantly exceeded our expectations. We now eagerly look forward to today’s launch of our first ever Esports Series. Being able to expand and enrich our OlahBola offering to our existing.”

This follows SportsHero’s recently announced three-year partnership with ICON Esports, where the companies will jointly operate and co-brand on SportHero’s OlahBola platform.

SportsHero’s OlahBola Esports series has also now kicked off with a practice match on April 8. The tournament will run until June 17, with all participants using a valid OlahBola account.

The tournament’s practice match targeted 64 teams and 320 players but quickly gained momentum to be played by some 128 teams and 838 players.

SportsHero shares are up 5.41 per cent, trading at 3.9 cents at 11:30 am AEST.
