Meeka Metals (ASX:MEK) was trending highly on the HotCopper forums after it reported significant high-grade gold assays from below the Turnberry ore reserve in WA. MD Tim Davidson said drilling at Turnberry Central returned the strongest results with mineralisation typical of a high-grade orogenic gold system.

“Strong shearing, along with the pyrite and chalcopyrite mineral assemblage, suggests we are at the intermediate level of a hydrothermal system with strong depth potential approaching a hotter, more metal-rich source,” he said.

“The broad zones of high-grade gold, far deeper than any previous drilling at Turnberry Central, suggest there is significantly more gold than captured by the current Mineral Resource,” Mr Davidson added.

MEK was down -10.5% to 9.4¢ at lunchtime.

Peninsula Energy (ASX:PEN) has also drawn attention after coming out of a halt to report issues at its Lance uranium project in Wyoming. The producer said ’26 production guidance is being withdrawn on a slower-than-anticipated wellfield ramp-up as they keep advancing Lance’s low-pH ISR operations.

Peninsula told shareholders they’re confident the identified issues are temporary and are unlikely to impact production beyond CY26.

“We remain highly encouraged by the results from Header House 14 (HH14), which has recorded average head grades of 50-60 mg/L U3O8 during May to June (Pore Volume 5 to 6), more than double the historical average during alkaline leach in MU-1 and MU-2,” the company stated today.

PEN down -25.3% on the news, to 27.3¢.

And finally, Proteomics International Laboratories (ASX:PIQ) was very popular on the HotCopper forums after entering into a national Australian distribution agreement with Healius Limited (ASX:HLS).

Healius is now the exclusive pathology distribution partner for Proteomics’ Promarker portfolio and is establishing its first national commercial distribution partnership.

CEO and MD, David Morris, said the agreement provides Proteomics with access to Healius’ collection centre network, comprising more than 2,000 patient collection centres and established relationships with general practitioners, specialists, hospitals and other healthcare providers throughout Australia.

PIQ jumped by +36.7% to 20.5¢ at time of going to press.

Wider, the ASX 200 bounced back earlier today, gaining 21.9pts, +0.25%.
