With the team angling for 9,000m in total, rigs are going to sniff around the historic Radio gold mine chasing after three targets: Repeater, South, and a downdip extension of the main known deposit.
Low depths are the ideal outcome here, with geotechs hoping for the right data to suggest an open pit operation could be feasible (especially with prices where they are.)
In tandem, WIN will ideally get the early-stage success it needs to begin shoring up a path to expanded mineral resource growth – which could then synergise with secondary activities taking place at another of the company’s assets, Butchers’ Creek.
There, the company is taking steps towards a scoping study for the latter, with the penultimate designs for open pit and underground mine designs to be included and that project prepared for more newsflow “in the future.” But, for now, with Challenge Drilling on-site, WIN’s focus remains on Radio for the time being.
“These efforts should put WIN in prime position to deliver early mining cashflow,” WIN Metals CEO Steve Norregaard said. “Work on the Butchers Creek Scoping Study is nearing completion, with results expected to be released prior to year’s end.
“With our active gold projects now a clear focus and retaining nickel and lithium optionality, WIN continues to strive to turn exploration into production and, in turn, value for shareholders.”
WIN last traded at 1.9cps.
