- A study by geological consulting group Shango Solutions has identified new high-grade copper-silver targets at Golden Deeps’ (GED) Khusib Springs Mine
- The copper-silver mine, located near the town of Grootfontein in Namibia, has previously mined approximately 300,000 tonnes of ore, grading at 10 per cent copper, 1.8 per cent lead and 584 grams per tonne silver
- The study has identified new remnant copper and silver mineralisation on the margins of mined stopes and at depth
- The company is now seeking quotations for an airborne electromagnetic survey at Khusib Springs, ahead of designing a new drilling program to test the remnant zones

Golden Deeps (GED) has identified new high-grade copper-silver targets at the Khusib Springs Mine.
The Khusib Springs copper-silver mine is located near the town of Grootfontein in Namibia, where approximately 300,000 tonnes of ore grading at 10 per cent copper, 1.8 per cent lead and 584 grams per tonne (g/t) silver was previously mined.
Previous drill intersections at the mine include 4.5 metres at 35.19 per cent copper, 3.67 per cent lead, 2.23 per cent zinc, 2090.91 g/t silver from 30 square-metres.
A study on the Khusib Springs mine was completed by geological consulting group, Shango Solutions of RSA. The scope of the study was to validate the historic drilling data and digitally capture hardcopy mine plans, aiming to assess the potential for further mineable ore.
The data was then imported into a 3D mine software package to allow visualisation of the orebody and to assist targeting.
As well as modelling the copper mineralisation, Shango also modelled the combined copper-silver mineralisation due to the high silver grades reported during mining. The average grade of the silver mined at Khusib Springs was 585 g/t, or 18.81 ounces to the tonne.
The study demonstrated there are remnant zones of copper-silver mineralisation on the margins of the mined stopes as well as at depth.
An additional priority zone of copper-silver mineralisation has also been identified within 100 metres of the surface, which the company says can be tested using reverse circulation drilling.
Golden Deeps says they are excited at the potential for high-grade copper and silver at Khusib Springs and have requested quotes for an electromagnetic survey ahead of starting a drilling program.
The company is in the grey, last trading at 1.2 cents at 10:00 am AEDT.
