Noronex (NRX) has begun drilling at the Otjiwaru prospect which lies within the Witvlei Project in Namibia.

Contractor FerroDrill Namibia has arrived on site and has begun drilling the initial 10,000 metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling.

Drilling will test five high priority targets, with work expected to take three to four months to complete.

These targets include a sub-cropping copper target at Dalheim with a two-kilometre strike and chargeability induced polarisation anomalies at Gemboksvlei.

An outcropping copper target at Otjiwaru, a copper in soil anomaly south of Okasewa and copper soil anomalies at Christiadore will also be tested.

Additionally, the geophysical crew has already completed the dipole-dipole induced polarisation survey at Gemboksvlei and it is currently underway at Okasewa.

Once reverse circulation drilling wraps up, follow up diamond drilling will be undertaken to define the style and character of the geology and mineralisation.

Shares in Noronex closed down 3.23 per cent at 15 cents on August 17.
