Wildcat Resources (WC8) has been granted tenement E45/5623 at its Bolt Cutter Project in Western Australia.

The Bolt Cutter Project lies within the Mallina Province, which is a large and highly prospective gold province that remains largely underexplored.

Tenement E45/5623 is 74 square kilometres and hosts prospective structures associated with the Berghaus Shear Zone.

Wildcat currently has three granted tenements at the project, comprising an area of 464 square kilometres.

A further two tenements, E45/5612 and E45/5613, are pending and are progressing through the grant process.

Wildcat has planned a field visit in October to undertake an initial exploration program consisting of rock chip and soil sampling.

The aim of this is to determine the gold fertility of interpreted splay structures, screen the project for gold and pathfinder elements, and improve the geological understanding of the area.

CEO Samuel Ekins is excited to have been granted the tenement and begin exploration.

“The grant of E45/5623 has been long anticipated and work can now commence to screen the prospect for large gold-bearing mineral systems,” Mr Ekins said.

“Wildcat expects to commence fieldwork in October and eagerly awaits grants of the remaining tenements at Bolt Cutter.”

Shares in Wildcat were up 8.70 per cent on the market and were trading at 2.5 cents at 12:38 pm AEST.
